Career vitality for over-50s

More and more over-50s and over-60s still have an active career ahead of them. Some are eager to continue working or to embark on something new. Others prefer to stick with what they’re doing or start winding down their working lives. And there are plenty who have no real plans yet. What’s important is to select a path that will maintain your vitality.

In this group training course, you’ll find answers to questions you may be having about yourself, your work and your career. You’ll come to see what’s truly important to you, so that you can take useful and meaningful decisions. Even after you’ve completed the course, you’ll continue to take the time to consider important questions and situations that you tend to neglect or ignore in your everyday life now. You’ll learn how to check whether and how the things you do are useful for you. The training will improve your mental vitality, something that you’ll measure at the end of the course.

Target group

For Academy staff aged 50 and above who want to be proactive about their future and improve their mental vitality.


This training course covers the following topics:

  • Vitality test
  • Ridding yourself of ineffective habits
  • Themes and life questions and what they mean for your work
  • Taking decisions, feeling commitment, identifying your objective and mission
  • Drawing up an action plan.
  • Energy and stress management
  • Training yourself in flexibility, openness and creativity
  • Exploring your talents
  • Exploring your values 
  • Turning wishes into goals

The Local Consultations Committee (employer and union representatives) considers it well worthwhile to spend part of the employee benefits budget on sustainable career development. Training, courses and coaching meant to support sustainable career development are therefore funded from this budget.
