A 2-day retreat for PhDs & postdocs

Mapping out your road as a science professional

How do you choose your future career as a PhD graduate? The options may be far more extensive than you imagine, especially in today’s world. So what will determine your decision? Your knowledge, your capabilities, opportunities that just happen to arise?

This training puts you in the driving seat of your career. We challenge you to discover your PhD Power and the internal factors that drive you in what you do. The question then becomes: To what extent do you dare to let your true motivation determine your career path?

Both trainers are PhD graduates and pursued research careers. When they took the leap and applied their PhD skills outside research, it resulted in unexpected but successful and rewarding career paths.

Target group

PhD candidates, postdocs and up.

This retreat will be held at a wonderful and quiet location in the centre of the Netherlands, in the middle of a great nature reserve. The programme includes:

  • learning about your true professional value;
  • discovering the many career options that are open to PhD graduates;
  • analysing your motivational drive and learning how to make this work for you;
  • acquiring a hands-on strategy to identify careers that suit your profile;
  • mapping the very specific first steps of your unique journey towards a fulfilling career.
