Mastering Mindfulness – The 8-week MBSR Programme

Mindfulness is a form of attention training that focuses on recognising and breaking out of unconscious, involuntary thought patterns and responses. It is a powerful technique that reenergises the mind and body. Mindfulness helps people engage with themselves and others in a new way.

After finishing this programme, you will have learned to apply mindfulness consistently in your work and personal life. Participants generally come away with a much better ability to regulate stress, along with a greater sense of resilience and stability, all of which helps them in their everyday actions. They experience a noticeable improvement in wellbeing, vitality and life satisfaction. Many of them say that they work more effectively and with greater success, communicate better, and are more able to enter a state of creative and optimised performance known as ‘flow’.

The trainer is Demetrius J. Waarsenburg. In addition to his research and work as an organisational consultant, he is also an executive coach and mindfulness trainer. He combines mindfulness in the tradition of John Kabat-Zinn with techniques from Western cognitive psychology, such as neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). His approach is straightforward, transparent, inspiring and results-driven.
