Jacob Goeree, foreign member, University of Zürich, is well known for his research on auctions and how they operate. The way in which he links economic theory, experimental research and practical policymaking makes his work original, innovative and unique. Goeree uses his expertise to advise governments and others on how to optimise auction and market design, for example in order to reduce CO2 emissions.
