Marian J. Bakermans-Kranenburg is a professor of genes and environment in child and family studies in the Institute of Education and Child Studies, Leiden University. Her main research interests are attachment and emotion regulation in children and parents, intervention, and the interplay between genes and environment in development, with a special focus on the ‘differential susceptibility’ of children to rearing influences.
