Tanja van der Lippe, Utrecht University, studies the relationship between work and family. How do employees and family members on the one hand and employers on the other deal with the demands of working and family life and the frequent conflicts between them? And what are the implications for gender inequality and the wellbeing of men and women, both in the Netherlands and beyond? Van der Lippe has tackled these questions from an entirely new perspective by combining insights from sociology, economics and psychology.
