The purpose of this Academy Colloquium is to give specialists from research and practice an opportunity to meet and share their knowledge of how neuroscience can be applied in criminal justice practice.

The colloquium offers a platform for applying the growing knowledge of biosocial criminology in practice. The need for this Colloquium arose because researchers worldwide, and particularly in the Netherlands, have devoted considerable effort in recent years to studying the relationship between neurobiological features and antisocial behaviour. We have noted, however, that this growing expertise has so far largely been ignored in criminal justice practice.

Language of communication: English.
