Georgina Mace has been awarded the Dr A.H. Heineken Prize for Environmental Sciences 2016. On this occasion the Graduate School for Production Ecology & Resource Conservation ( PE&RC) organises an international symposium on 26 September. Georgina Mace is one of the speakers, with an KNAW Heineken Lecture titled Nature conservation: From fundamental knowledge to sustainable conservation of nature.
Wouter Halfwerk, laureate of the 2016 Heineken Young Scientists Award for Environmental Sciences, will also give a lecture entitled Understanding the role of sensory ecology in adaptation to the human-impacted environments.
