Wilma de Koning will be leaving as Director General at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. She will become the new vice-president of the Tilburg University Executive Board as of 15 November 2023, succeeding Paulina Snijders.
Wilma de Koning will be leaving as Director General at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. She will become the new vice-president of the Tilburg University Executive Board as of 15 November 2023, succeeding Paulina Snijders.
The Academy Board has now initiated recruitment for the succession. In the months ahead, governance and portfolio distribution will remain unchanged and a proper handover will be ensured.

Wilma herself had this to say: “I have dedicated myself to leading the Academy and have steered its strategic course based on the dynamic agenda. I'm looking forward to getting started with a new challenge at Tilburg University, where I have previously enjoyed working. I thank all colleagues at the Academy for the pleasant cooperation.”
