Ten young researchers to meet Nobel laureates

What young researcher wouldn't want to meet a Nobel Prize winner? The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings are unique gatherings in Lindau, Germany, at which young and established researchers meet Nobel laureates to find inspiration and share knowledge. Ten researchers nominated by the Academy will attend this year.

Chemistry and Economics

The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings focusing on Chemistry will take place from 29 June to 4 July 2025; those focusing on Economics will take place from 26 to 30 August 2025. Among the more than 600 participants will be ten promising researchers nominated by the Royal Academy. The programme includes lectures by Nobel laureates (and interactive lunches with them), master classes, poster presentations, ‘Science Walks’, and various social events.

Nomination by the Academy

Since 2008, the Academy has submitted the names of young researchers employed by a Dutch university to the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, which selects the participants. The Academy makes a contribution towards the cost of its nominees' participation. The researchers selected by the nominating committee to attend this year’s Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings are:

  • Annemarie Doze, University of Groningen
  • Eva Meeus, ETH Zürich
  • Samuel Schwab, Leiden University
  • Foteini Trigka, University of Groningen
  • Bibiana Türkcan, Leiden University
  • Sara Velasquez, University of Twente
