Researchers working at a university or research institute in the Kingdom of the Netherlands who were awarded their PhD no more than seven years previously. The Academy Extension Arrangement applies in this case (see document in left column).
Please note: Staff and researchers at the Academy and the Academy institutes cannot submit applications.

Up to ten Partnerships are awarded annually. The KNAW Early Career Partnerships are made available from the KNAW Academy Fund.

Researchers with a PhD can use an Academy Early Career Partnership grant to organise an interdisciplinary meeting at the Trippenhuis (the Academy's headquarters) or at another location of their choice. The Academy has awarded a grant to ten researchers each year since 2019. This post highlights two exceptional meetings that took place this year.
