On 16 April, you will be welcome at the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam. During this day, you will be able to participate in various workshops, listen to inspirational speakers, learn more about your career prospects and connect with like-minded people.
Good to know: attending the full day from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. is mandatory.

Keynote: 'Opportunity comes to the prepared mind'
It was as early as 1854 when chemist Louis Pasteur argued that opportunities come to the prepared mind. But how do you prepare for opportunities? How does this wisdom translate to being a PhD student or post doc in 2024? In this keynote, Eveline Crone will present some reflections on this question based on her own scientific journey; how she navigated unexpected paths, opportunities and disappointments. She will talk about the importance of following your personal passion for unravelling the unknown, most of the times thanks to, but sometimes despite the academic culture in which we do our work.
Inspiration session
In this session, Christiaan Levelt (Director NIN), Loes Keijsers (Professor in Clinical Child and Family Studies at Erasmus University) and Eefje Cuppen (Director Rathenau) will share their fuck up/mistake within academia. What happened? What did they learn from it? How did it shape them as a researcher? We hope that this session will both be informative and fun!
Photographer
A photographer will be present to shoot professional profile pictures for your LinkedIn page or other professional social media. There is a maximum of 25 spots for the photographer. Apply for a spot in the registration form. You will receive your timeslot for the photographer when you arrive at the Trippenhuis.
